Camp Network stands out in the camp registration software space by offering a premium, full-featured platform with no annual contracts, monthly licensing fees, or setup costs. Instead of charging camps thousands of dollars upfront, they utilize a pay-as-you-go model where a small processing fee is typically passed on to the registrant at checkout.

In their own words

What's changed in the last year or two that camps should know about?

Many modern registration platforms charge monthly or annual subscription fees. However, there is no need to pay these upfront costs. Look for companies that waive subscription fees entirely, relying instead on small per-ticket or processing fees. The only exception is if you are hosting free events and not processing payments, in which case the platform will charge a flat software fee.

A camp director asked

What should a camp look for when comparing options in your category?

Ensure all agreements include transparent, all-inclusive pricing. To avoid unexpected costs, watch out for recurring subscription markups, premium support charges, non-refundable credit card fees, and site-maintenance fees.

A camp director asked

What do camps most often get wrong here?

The biggest mistake new camp directors make isn't tech. It's underestimating how much their parents care about the registration experience. Bad UX in registration is the #1 leading indicator of a camp that's going to lose enrollment.

A camp director asked

How do you think AI will impact camp marketing?

AI is going to change camp marketing more than any tech shift in 20 years. Camps that aren't producing structured, machine-readable information about themselves in the next 18 months will become invisible to the next generation of parents searching.

A camp director asked

What should directors know about camp registration software pricing?

Most camp software prices like enterprise SaaS. We don't. Camps are seasonal businesses with seasonal cash flow, and the per-seat-per-month model breaks them. Pass the cost to registrants and let the camp run free.
