About

About CampBuzz

CampBuzz is the vendor directory and trade editorial publication for the camp industry — covering the companies, tools, and economics that camps run on. Written for the people who run camps: overnight, day, school, sport, and specialty programs.

What we do

We maintain a structured directory of the vendors who serve camps — registration software, insurance, transportation, food service, activity suppliers, staffing platforms, and more — so directors can find what they need and understand the landscape.

We also publish editorial coverage of the industry: operator stories, category analysis, and buyer guidance for the people making decisions inside camps.

And we give camps a place to share their news. Camps aren't directory listings — a camp subscribes to a CampBuzz camp page, and that subscription includes press releases: one a year on the monthly plan, two a year on the yearly one. Polished, timestamped, shareable pages that announce new sessions, dates, programs, and milestones. A camp's press page helps families, search engines, and AI assistants find current, credible information about their program — and doubles as a marketing asset camps can share anywhere.

How we work

  • We cover companies as subjects, not advertisers. No one buys their way into our editorial coverage.
  • We don't run pay-to-play rankings or "best of" lists that are actually paid placements in disguise.
  • We don't run star ratings or public reviews. Vendors are presented through structured profiles and earned editorial, not a scoring system that can be gamed.
  • Contributed content — including camp press releases and any sponsored pieces — is always clearly labeled and visually separated from independent editorial.
  • We aim to be useful and honest, warm by default, and direct when it matters. See our editorial standards and methodology.
