Editorial Standards

Our editorial standards

CampBuzz is an independent publication. These are the rules we hold ourselves to so camp operators can trust what they read here.

Independence

Editorial decisions — what we cover, how we cover it, who we quote — are made by CampBuzz editors. Paying for a directory listing, a Pro subscription, or a press release never buys editorial coverage, favorable framing, or placement in a "best of" piece.

No star ratings, no public reviews

CampBuzz does not run a star-rating or public-review system. Vendors are presented through structured profiles and earned editorial coverage. We think that's a more honest picture for camp directors than a number that can be gamed, faked, or weaponized by competitors.

Contributed and sponsored content

Press releases and other content provided by vendors or camps are clearly labeled as such and visually separated from independent editorial. Sponsoring a piece never grants editorial control over its final form.

Conflicts of interest

When a CampBuzz writer or editor has a material relationship to a subject we're covering, we disclose it in the piece — or we hand the story to someone else.

Corrections

If we get something wrong, we correct it and note what changed. Reach us through the contact options on our site to flag a correction.
