- Camp management software is for the part of the year after the forms are in. It holds camper and staff records, health histories and the medication rounds run from the health center, cabin and group assignments, attendance and check-in and check-out, staff scheduling and certifications, photo sharing and parent messaging during the session, and the reports a director writes the post-season review from. Most products in this category also take registrations, which is why the same names appear under registration software; the distinction is where the product's center of gravity sits — the sign-up, or the eight weeks that follow it.

- Pricing in this category takes a few shapes: an annual license scaled to camper numbers or sessions, a per-camper season fee, modules such as the health center or photo sharing priced separately, or quote-only — with payment processing charged on top wherever the product also takes the money. - Work through one real week in August rather than the sign-up flow: who is looking at a screen during a medication round, how attendance is taken where there is no signal, how a cabin change at 9pm reaches the right lists, what a nurse can see and what a counselor cannot, and what the director gets at the end of the season without exporting to a spreadsheet. Ask which of those parts is included and which is a separate module, who does the setup before your first season and what it costs, and how the price moves when your camper numbers move. Ask two or three companies the same questions and compare the answers rather than the brochures. We don't nominate a best one, here or anywhere.
