Experiential Systems, Inc. (ESI) is a full-service challenge course company that designs, builds, inspects, repairs, and trains for ropes courses, zip lines, climbing walls, and aerial adventure parks. It describes itself as the first and only North American ISO 9001-certified challenge course company, with clients including camps, universities, resorts, and the military. ESI has been building since 1983 and conducts inspections and certifications to ACCT, ASTM, ACA, and CWA standards on its own courses and those built by others.

Head Rush Technologies is a Colorado-based engineering company that makes adventure-safety equipment built on patented magnetic (eddy-current) braking, including the TRUBLUE Auto Belay, the zipSTOP zip line brake, and QuickFlight free-fall devices. Founded in 2012 and headquartered in Louisville, Colorado, its devices are used in roughly 100 countries across climbing, zip line, and free-fall installations. It supplies the equipment that sits on top of courses built by challenge-course companies.

Synergo
Synergo is a Portland, Oregon-based adventure course company offering design and installation of challenge courses, zip line tours, and aerial adventure parks, plus inspection, training, gear, and facilitated team-building programs. Founded in 1994 and owned by Erik and Jennifer Marter, it has grown from local experiential programming into an internationally recognized builder while remaining a Pacific Northwest leader. It runs team-building programs at numerous Oregon camps.

- Ask how the work is scoped and what a normal year with them looks like: who does the setup, what happens in your busiest fortnight, what the exit looks like if you leave, and what the price does when your numbers change.
